Day Three: Wok This Way

We had planned to stop in San Antonio for the night so we could enjoy Checo's again, but were sadly disappointed upon arrival that they were closed due to kitchen issues.
Famished and tired, we loped away, looking for anything to satiate our hunger (other than Ihop). Husband pointed out a place called Hu Hot, with Mongolian BBQ. I had never eaten Mongolian, and neither had he, so we figured we'd make an adventure of it.

Seeing as we were "dying," we opted to grab some eggrolls as an appetizer, not realizing what we were in for. The soup and rice come with the "buffet," which consisted of raw ingredients and sauce bases to have your own custom dish cooked hibachi style!
It. Was. Awesome.
Even Husband, who is not very skilled in the culinary, managed to mix up an incredibly tasty plate of what we dubbed "Asian Jambalaya." He also had never used chopsticks before, so I got to teach him something new and fun. Look how quick he caught on!

Even after all that, both the waiter and the ad on the table were begging me to try their humble looking chocolate cake. In the picture, it looked about half the size of the actual serving, and had way more fudgy goodness going on too!

This place may need to be added to our stops in the future, barring we don't find something similar in California (cause that'll be hard, haha).
After our unexpectedly awesome meal, we settled in to a cheap motel and rested the best we had this whole trip, ready to plow through an uber long drive the next morning.
