How are these characters, of all people, contracting syphilis at an almost pandemic rate? Aren't these the kind of people who would be most likely to properly use protection? Why?!
The only thing I can consider as a possibility is that all of these women are on birth control, and everyone up to this outbreak was asymptomatic, so they had no reason to think they had anything. Still, though, in the prior episode Alex insists that George take a condom, so what the fuck?
