WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'GULLIBLE' ISN'T IN THE DICTIONARY?

I've mentioned before that I have a tendency to get negative male attention. Anyone with eyes can see why that is.

She is NOT 38DDD, but that's another post for another day
However, what I rarely notice is when positive male attention has those ulterior intentions behind it. Even now after rigorous dating in my flighty years, and coming into my own as a woman, it still goes over my head when men are trying to flirt with me 8 times out of 10.

I asked Husband today if he thought I was gullible, and he answered in the most doting, cajun voice, "Woman, you wouldn't notice a man hitting on you if he beat it over your head with a shovel. Your bullshit meter is completely dysfunctional."
I'd be more indignant about it, but he was just so damned cute when he said it.

It just doesn't seem to click with me; where kindness ends and other intentions begin.

Luckily, Husband doesn't get too jealous about these things, and will usually just give me a nudge when things start to get weird.

My friends however, seem to enjoy my obliviousness, and even play into it from time to time for their own entertainment.
Jerks.
 Especially this guy.

I'm sure you can tell from this photo, this dude is bad news.
Okay not really.
He's only the most hilarious, badass, lots of other adjectives that mean good things, and somehow simultaneously compassionate guy my soulmate (My Coz) has ever given me the pleasure of dating.

Don't get me wrong, we wouldn't be such good friends if he didn't enjoy my suffering. Moses is the sort of guy that would unbolt the toilet seat and wait for the splash.

He is, however, one of the reasons I probably haven't been kidnapped and buried at a beach somewhere. Moses is pretty much the only guy I could say I'm hanging out with, and Husband wouldn't bat an eye. He's always got my back, which is probably why Husband likes him so much.
He too, will just sit and watch me blindly engage a man trying to flirt with me, laughing his ass off internally the whole time, but he'll always step up if it gets out of hand.
Thanks Moses, you're a good friend.
