What is Your Favorite Thing About Autumn?

I can't just pinpoint one thing I love about the fall season. There's so much to love and enjoy!
It's one of Husband's favorite parts of the year, as it's the sign of Winter - so he's much happier. He's a big fan of the darkness, and cold, so fall is like a teaser trailer to him.

I, however, don't love being cold, but do welcome the changes and beauty autumn has to offer.
First of all, cuddle-season is upon us, and good-God do I love being the little spoon.

Fall means more rain and cool weather, which is awesome and terrible. We are both fans of rain for different reasons, which always makes a power-outage more fun at the Duet house.

I take pleasure seeing the leaves turn, but I don't enjoy the kudzu imitation they make when engulfing my yard and subsequently invading the house with their crumbly, inescapable omnipresence. It's almost like herpes on my floor. I sweep or vacuum, thinking I got all the crumbles, and then BOOM, there's another gathering of leafy bid-bits mocking my attempts to maintain a home.
Blessing and a curse, those beautiful bastards!

My more vapid concerns come to light this time of year. As the weather cools, I get to look more and more fabulous. I freaking love fall fashion. It's super flattering on my lady chunks, and as a lady with low BP it's nice to layer up and not immediately sweat while trying to get my hands to stop looking like something from Walking Dead. Not to mention, with the lack of heat and sweating, the handful of pimples I call acne goes away, my hair relaxes into it's natural auburn waves, and my skin achieves it's final form.
I look bangin in fall, just sayin.

One of the biggest reasons to love fall though, is my one true love - the food.

Husband is already aware that he and food are pretty much neck-and-neck in the ranking of things that make me unconditionally happy. He usually wins out, since food can't cuddle, nor can it kill spiders for me, which start squatting in the house this time of year in numbers that rival bunnies in the spring.
Still, I could probably go on in artistic soliloquy for pages about all the food I love that means fall to me, but instead of making you read and read and read, I'll just tantalize you with pictures.

And now for all you fellow food-lovers who are at half-mast after these pictures, here's a site for speedy eatins!

    1. Thanks Melissa! I know how heavy the season can wear on us, with incoming holidays, and thought a little dash of adorable would keep things light when thinking on all that Autumn has to offer.
