As someone who considers themselves sex-positive, I couldn't recoil away from my screen fast enough.
I mean, really? A person is a disgusting and diseased zombie on the inside because they enjoy consensual sex?
I understand the concerns surrounding pre-marital sex; STD risks, consent issues, pregnancy, and the slew of emotional backlash that can occur. All of these issues could occur if both parties are not practicing safe, consensual sex. If they are, then this nasty, judgmental picture is moot - which is in most cases for adults.
It's hard not to feel personally attacked by imagery like this, especially when the comments on this were all affirming its validity whether with Christian rhetoric or just personal disgust with sex.
I ask of you, outside of your religious stance, what is so wrong with sex for pleasure?
Because that is what animals do and we are supposed to be above animals.
