Some happy news in This Fuckin' House is an epic trip from Target that refreshed the house. I found a handful of 5x7 area rugs on clearance at a ridiculous, haunt my nightmares if I pass them up, price. I grabbed up all the neutral colored ones that jived with the style of our decor and brought them home. Husband really stepped up with his genius when he grabbed them and started placing them throughout.
At first I panicked. He's an archetype of a man, with little to no concern for decor, and thus far has shown no taste for aesthetics. However, there is an artist within, as he put each rug in places I never considered, and we now have a cozy living room, a dining room that looks much more cohesive, and the master suite is even more zoned into cozy, functional sections. This makes the soon-to-be-wintry-cold toes happy.
If he wasn't surprising me enough, Husband has been pushing me to keep crocheting as a hobby, and whipped out his eye for color again by selecting my yarns. I was seriously doubtful of some of his choices, but I let my own creative juices flow and so far things are looking good. I have a couple twin size blankets under hook right now, and can't wait to share them when I finish!
