Writing can be both cathartic and a chore, depending on what all is going on. Sometimes a prompt just stumps me, and I'll procrastinate and procrastinate, hoping something will click, but eventually I just cave and force myself to say something.
Other times, I feel strongly about a subject, and then it's like artistry with words, putting my feelings or information together to make you nice people enjoy it.
Obviously it's a little easier to cover personal subjects over these prompts, but during the week I just don't have enough inspiration to concoct material on my own. That little nudge helps, and also makes it more restrained to a point that I can zero in on what I really want to be writing about.
